Summer rain

Gentle motion,
leather on wood,
silent ropes sway,
canvas flutters.

Sun hiding,
meer glimpses,
melody of water,
hull and shore.

Shadows on water,
reflection of beauty,
tears from heaven increase,
soft summer shower.

I wrote this poem in 2002 while on an friends old restored wooden sail boat.
